Welcome to Interfaith Appalachia – a new program that brings people together across differences of faith, politics, and environmental perspective for service, dialogue and community development. IA creates intensive programs of 1-4 weeks, engaging college and high school students; we focus on exchange work between greater Boston and central Appalachia (mainly Harlan County, eastern Kentucky). Since fall 2010, about 60 students have assisted with various projects in the tri-cities area of Harlan County, KY. This coming July will be our first Boston-based high school program.
